The scheme is a Dementia Care and Community Centre located on Carlton Road, Nottingham and is to include thirty-three bedrooms to accommodate for permanent and respite care with the addition of community-based ground floor to encourage the integration of members of the community with people diagnosed with dementia.
The concept of the project includes the connection of nature to aid in improving the overall well-being of the building occupants. The overall facade has a soft colour palette with the introduction of greenery to provide a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The proposed facilities include dining areas, community cafe, physical activity rooms, sensory room, therapy room, atriums hosting internal garden areas, winter garden and dementia gardens.
