The English Wine Centre, London

The English wine industry is a rapidly growing sector and is expected to be worth over £1 billion by the year 2040. The English Wine Centre is located along the River Thames, in a rapidly developing part of London. This centre will be the HUB for the English wine industry, it will provide a space to promote English wine to the masses and to help educate regarding the history and future of the wine industry.

Project Information

The centre will include exhibition spaces, a wine museum, wine tasting rooms and a restaurant that will pair English wines with different foods. The centre will be the only one of its kind in the UK. The English Wine Centre will be a BREEAM outstanding building utilising new technologies such as a blue roof and CLT floor slabs. The building features timber cladding and natural rain-screen cladding sections along with a curved copper standing seam roof that undulates with the building and creates a unique aesthetic to the building.

Architectural Technology

The BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology course is a professionally-focused gateway to a career in the architecture industry. Students explore how buildings are created, procured, constructed and managed, and develop a practical and imaginative approach to design through a project-based learning experience.

As specialists in architectural technology, our graduates are the link between concept and reality; learning to identify, assess and challenge client and user requirements, translating ideas and possibilities into effective, practical and sustainable building solutions.
